For Child Care Providers

The Child Care Council of Dutchess and Putnam, Inc. (CCCDP) regulates family day care programs and the after school child care programs in Dutchess and Putnam Counties. This includes processing new and renewal applications, monitoring and inspecting programs, investigating complaints, and offering professional training and technical assistance.

CCCDP supports participating family and group family child care providers through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in providing nutritious, healthful meals to children in care through financial reimbursement and education.

CCCDP maintains both an on-site and mobile Resource Lending Library to make available toys, equipment, teaching units, and professional resources to child care providers who are members of the Council.

CCCDP supports child care providers who care for infants and toddlers through the Regional Infant-Toddler Assistance Center. An Infant-Toddler Specialist offers training and technical assistance in early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices.

CCCDP offers training and technical assistance to all child care providers. Training is available for a group of child care providers at a convenient location or tailored on-site to the providers' needs.
