Get creative with story times! Kamishibai (kah-ME-she-bye) means "paper drama." Stories are told using paper cards that are slid into a frame, which becomes a small theater. In this fun and interactive workshop, participants will create their own "mini-Kamishibai" stage, then write and draw stories they can bring back to the children in their care. They will also learn how to help children to make and dramatize their own Kamishibai stories. Imaginative ways to tell flannel and felt board stories will also be discussed.

The cost of this workshop is $20 partner, $25 non-partner.
OCFS topics covered include: program development.

Trainer: Mary Schreiber, Early Childhood Specialist, Child Care Council of Dutchess and Putnam, Inc.

This workshop is appropriate for all modalities.
