 egies that can improve current practices. Attitudes\, perceptions\, center
  policies and indicators of quality programs that foster family relationsh
 ips are addressed. Similarities/difference in the roles of parents and tea
 chers\, differences in child rearing practices\, factors that undermine re
 lationships\, positive approaches to address parents with concerns and eff
 ective conferencing skills are explored. Participants will role-play a 'pa
 rent conference\,' identify personal strengths and weaknesses\, and develo
 p strategies for 'collaborative conversations.' Articles and bibliography 
 are included.            \n\nTrainer: Renee Falanga-Brenner\, Early Childh
 ood Specialist \, Mid-Hudson Regional Early Childhood Direction Center\n\n
  This workshop is appropriate for all staff and modalities of care.
