Our Health Care Consultant Services at the Child Care Council of Dutchess & Putnam County offer expert guidance and support to prospective and operating childcare educators to help ensure the health and safety of the children in care. What can they do?
- Assist with the development of health care polices and the creation of a Health Care Plan for your childcare program
- Train caregivers and develop Individual Health Care Plans to support children with special health care needs, including asthma, allergies, seizures, or diabetes.
- Offer Medication Administration Training classes at The Council Review medication administration policies and procedures, along with required paperwork to ensure OCFS compliance
- Answer questions about common childcare concerns, including immunizations, childhood illnesses, exclusion criteria, and related topics.
- Provide ongoing technical assistance via phone, email or in person as needed
