The Empire State Family Child Care Collaborative (ESFCCC) is specialized and personalized services offered by the Child Care Council of Dutchess and Putnam, Inc. (CCCDP) and the Early Care & Learning Council (ECLC) to licensed family day care providers and group family day care providers
Members of the ESFCCC will receive free child care management software (Playground or Brightwheel), business support to help launch and use the CCMS, calculate time-space percentage, organize recordkeeping, and more. Additionally, participating members will receive access to free telemedicine for their assistants, substitutes and staff, sessions on retirement planning, and specialized business training.
The ESFCCC is a great way to meet and network with other home-based early childhood professionals in Dutchess and Putnam Counties. Several states across the country have staffed family networks or collaboratives like the ESFCCC. According to Child Care Aware of America, these Networks “…offer a safe space for home-based providers to share concerns, connect with others about issues, strategize to solve common problems, and access supportive relationships.”
The CCCDP is in the process of hiring an Early Childhood Business Support Specialist, whose sole task will be to support and work with the members of the Dutchess and Putnam’s ESFCCC. The Specialist will plan monthly meetings, conduct one-on-one business support sessions with members, assist with technology, and offer additional resources.
This initiative is open to all regulated FDC and GFDC programs in Dutchess and Putnam that are in good standing with the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and agree to actively participate in the required meetings and services.
Be empowered by joining your peers and the CCCDP! For more information, please contact the Director of Business Services, Kathleen Murphy at 845-473-4141 ext. 224 or kmurphy@childcaredutchess.org.
