You recognize that “time outs” are not an effective strategy but you are perplexed about what else to do. Perhaps the management needs of one child are affecting the care of all the children in your group, or a child’s family is sending “mixed messages”. In this workshop we will discuss behavior management techniques that are respectful and effective. Participants can come with specific problems to discuss, and (using pseudonyms) we will brainstorm possible solutions and
strategies. Participants can bring their regulatory “Behavior Management Plans” to this workshop for revision or discussion.
