Parents hope that their child will be learning the alphabet, numbers and how to read and write for kindergarten. But there are many other skills that children need to master before an academic focus is appropriate. Studies show that the single most predictor of school success is not school grades, but rather, the adequacy with which the child gets along with others.
This workshop will discuss the importance of giving children opportunities to develop social and emotional skills such as cooperation, self-control, confidence, independence, curiosity, empathy, and communication.
