Inclusion, Who Benefits?

This training examines the Federal and State laws including: No Child Left Behind, The Education Law, IDEA, and Americans with Disability Act, and the Regulations of the NYS Education Commissioner that provide the definitions, services, and requirements and implementation of special education. Training also provides information on the advantages, barriers, and strategies for working with children who have delays and/or disabilities. The participant will learn how classroom environment, materials, and curriculum can be modified and adapted to accommodate all children. Information and strategies for establishing positive family-staff relationships are included.
